We will begin the journey in Chile, taking one of the most beautiful routes in the world, the Carretera Austral (Route 7), to venture into the magnificent and vast Chilean-Argentinian Patagonia. It is a place of infinite beauty, the perfect challenge for a great adventure. It boasts an untouched natural environment, filled with mountains, fjords, and hidden glaciers nestled among ancient forests. It captivates with its pristine lands, turquoise-colored lakes, expansive Patagonian pampas, and its distinctive wildlife.
Itinerary
Day 1 Puerto Varas - Puerto Varas - 0
Arrival in Puerto Varas
If you arrive early in Puerto Varas, you can explore the beautiful surroundings and the city. In the afternoon, we will have a group meeting for a trip briefing, followed by a welcome dinner. After that, we will rest for the night as we will have an early start tomorrow to catch the ferry that takes us to the Carretera Austral.
Day 2 Yelcho Lake - 290
PUERTO VARAS - YELCHO LAKE

We will depart early towards kilometer 0 of the Carretera Austral to board the ferry of the bimodal route. It offers a scenic navigation through spectacular coastal edges, forests, fjords, and waterfalls. Upon reaching Caleta Gonzalo, we will continue through the Pumalin Douglas Tompkins National Park, surrounded by impressive native forests. We will end the day at a beautiful lodge on the shores of Yelcho Lake.
Day 3 Yelcho Lake - Coyhaique - 370
YELCHO LAKE - COYHAIQUE

On this day, we will continue south along the Carretera Austral, crossing the Cuesta Moraga. As we descend, we will come across Villa Santa Lucia, devastated by a landslide in December 2017. After Puyuhuapi, we will drive along beautiful fjords and enter the Queulat National Park. From the road, we will appreciate the impressive Hanging Glacier of Queulat. We will then ascend the entertaining Queulat slope, enjoying breathtaking landscapes of forests, waterfalls, and glaciers. We will continue our journey to Coyhaique and rest at an excellent hotel.
Day 4 Coyhaique - Puerto Guadal - 363

We will depart on the Carretera Austral towards the south, crossing the Cerro Castillo National Park, where we can admire the beautiful massif of the same name. A few kilometers later, our adventure on gravel roads will begin. We will continue to Puerto Tranquilo, which awaits us with stunning views of General Carrera Lake, the largest lake in Chile. In the afternoon, we will embark to marvel at the famous Marble Chapels (*), declared a Nature Sanctuary. Afterward, we will head to the hotel, where we will enjoy a beautiful view of the Northern Ice Field.
Day 5 Puerto Guadal - Laguna San Rafael - 227

Today we will visit the San Rafael Lagoon National Park. We will enjoy the scenic landscapes along the Exploradores Valley route, passing through forests, snow-capped hills, icefields, waterfalls, and rivers. We will navigate towards the magnificent San Rafael Lagoon, reaching the impressive San Rafael Glacier and witnessing one of its astonishing ice calving events. In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel around 7:30 p.m.

Day 7 Puerto Guadal - Lago Posadas - 187

A short but intense day awaits us. We will follow the Baker River, which impresses with its intense turquoise color and enormous flow. We will leave the pristine nature of the Carretera Austral to cross into Argentina through the Roballos Pass, where we will cross the Chacabuco Valley (Patagonia National Park) to arrive in the afternoon at the hotel in the small town of Lago Posadas and visit its beautiful Stone Arch.
Day 8 Lago Posadas - El Calafate - 565

A long day awaits us! We will descend along the legendary Route 40, through the desertic Patagonian steppe, between turquoise-colored lakes and rivers. We will enjoy sightings of numerous guanacos and perhaps have the chance to see ñandús, armadillos, and foxes. In the afternoon, we will arrive at a beautiful hotel near Lake Argentino, where we can rest and appreciate the city of El Calafate.
Day 9 El Calafate - Perito Moreno - 140

If you wish, you can join us to visit the Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and be amazed by the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier.
Day 10 El Calafate - Puerto Natales - 387

We will head towards Chile, completing the final stretches of gravel roads on Route 40. We will cross the Cancha Carrera Border Crossing. If weather permits, we will visit the impressive Torres del Paine National Park (*), encountering its ñandús and guanacos, before continuing to the hotel in Puerto Natales, where we will enjoy our farewell dinner for those who are only doing the Patagonia portion.
Day 11 Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas - 248
PUERTO NATALES - PUNTA ARENAS

The end of our incredible journey! We will depart in the morning towards Punta Arenas to return the motorcycles and head back to our respective destinations.D
