Impressive landscapes, well-maintained roads with little traffic, Tibetan temples, the highest port in the world at 5600m and the incredible Nubra Valley await you. But you will still have many more surprises!

Day 1 - Delhi

Arrival of the different group flights to Delhi. Dinner and night at the hotel in the center of Delhi.

Day 2 Leh Ladakh - लेह लदाख, Ladakh, India

Early morning departure by plane from Delhi to Leh. This flight is one of the most impressive that can be done in India. We fly over the Himalayan chain with spectacular views of the highest mountains on the planet. Transfer to the hotel. Leh is at 3000m altitude and today is a day of acclimatization to the altitude. Rest in the hotel with views of the Himalayan chain and afternoon meeting with the group at the hotel and introductory talk about driving in India, introduction to the country and the trip program. The old part of the city is a labyrinth of narrow streets lined with adobe and wooden houses with the imposing Leh Palace dominating the city from above. The city is full of flea markets and shops with Tibetan relics and antiques.

Motorcycle tour around the Leh Valley. Today we will meet the team that will assist us during the trip and first contact with the motorcycles. Departure through the Leh Valley visiting the Hemis and Stakna gompa on top of a mountain with views of the entire valley and the Hindus River. Night in Leh.

Day 4 Leh Ladakh - लेह लदाख, Ladakh, India - Nubra Valley

Leh - Khardung La - Nubra Valley. Today we climb the Khardung-La. It is the highest port in the world at 5602 m! A few years ago there was a sign that said “from here you can speak directly with God”. We need special permits since it is a military zone that touches Tibet and a sensitive area in China. After taking the usual group photo, we went down to the incredible Nubra Valley. Night in Hunder.

Day 5 Nubra Valley - Nubra Valley

Nubra Valley. Day of rest. You can relax in the hotel garden admiring the landscape or choose to ride a camel through the dunes near our hotel or visit the Hunder gompa. Although we are 50 km from the border with Pakistan, the road is prohibited for foreigners. Night in Hunder.

Day 6 Nubra Valley - Thiksey Monastery

Nubra Valley - Thiksey. We start very early what will be the longest and possibly the most difficult day of the tour, although again with impressive views. We cross the port of Wari La at 5300m, one of the highest in the region where we will have to ride a few kilometers along the track. We return to the main road to arrive in the afternoon at the Thiksey gompa, one of the most imposing in the region and where several famous films have been shot, including 7 years in Tibet. Our hotel is opposite Thiksey Monastery, much like the Potala Palace in Lhassa, Tibet and run by monks and overlooking the gompa. Night in Thiksey.

Day 7 Thiksey Monastery - Lamayuru

Thiksey - Lamayuru. For early risers, an impressive ceremony awaits you at the gompa at 06:30 in the morning. Trumpets, mantras, bongs and many Buddhist monks in the gompa ceremony hall. We leave after breakfast along the road that runs along the Hindus River. Stop at the Alchi monastery with its impressive statue of Buddha crowning the mountain. Lunch at the restaurant next to the stupas. Arrival to visit the Lamayuru monastery, the oldest in all of Ladakh with more than 400 years. Lunar landscapes and road in perfect condition. In the afternoon, rest in the garden of our guest house with a good beer. Hotel in Lamayuru.

Day 8 Lamayuru - Leh Ladakh - लेह लदाख, Ladakh, India

Lamayuru - Leh. We return to Leh along the same road, but with some extra surprises to arrive in Leh again in the afternoon. Upon arrival in the capital, visit the Shanti Stupa and the Tsemo gompa that crowns the city. Night in Leh.

Day 9 Leh Ladakh - लेह लदाख, Ladakh, India - Delhi

Leh – Delhi. Departure by plane around 8:00 a.m. Arrival at 11:00 a.m. in Delhi. Transfer to our hotel in the center. Rest of the day free in Delhi and option to visit Agra to see the Taj Mahal. Delhi, a city full of monuments, including the impressive Great Mosque or the Red Fort, is also a paradise for all kinds of purchases. Night in Delhi.

  • Llegada y encuentro en Delhi..
  • Atención plazas limitadas : Máximo 12 motos o 16 personas.
  • Equipo de moto: Casco (lo mejor es uno modulable) chaqueta, guantes, botas y traje para la lluvia de moto (la mejor opción son los de dos piezas. Si hay un poco de viento la chaqueta impermeable es suficiente para no tener frió). En julio casi no llueve en Ladakh pero el tiempo es imprevisible. .
  • Prever equipo para el frío sobre todo para los días del trozo Nubra y Leh. Una bolsa imantada para poner sobre el tanque de gasolina es algo práctico para llevar la cámara, guantes y demás.
  • Condiciones de la carreta y conducción en la India: Este viaje es uno de los más espectaculares e impresionantes querentes e uno pueda hacer en moto. Al mismo tiempo no es un paseo fácil. La conducción en India es complicada al principio aunque uno se adapta rápidamente a ella. El trafico es caótico y con reglas totalmente diferentes a las que estamos acostumbrados. Una ventaja es que en general hay poco tráfico en las carreteras y no se conduce rápido El estado de la carretera entre Nubra y Leh varia cada año y está cerrada a la circulación durante más de ocho meses al año en la que se cubre de nieve. Se pasa de carreteras asfaltadas en buen estado a pistas de tierra, piedras y barro. Es posible que en ciertas ocasiones tengamos que atravesar partes inundadas con la moto. Podremos encontrarnos con tramos en que la carretera esta cortada debido a derrumbamiento de piedras y obstáculos retrasando a veces el viaje. Este es un viaje memorable, pero que no es recomendable para un motero sin experiencia.Se aconseja, aun siendo un experimentado conductor, hacer un curso de dos o tres días de perfeccionamiento. Uno puede asombrase de las cosas que aprende en este tipo de cursos !aunque conduzca desde hace mas de veinte años !La India es un país increíble y lleno de de magia, pero no es un país fácil para el que no tenga paciencia o no este acostumbrado a imprevistos y retrasos. Si decides unirte algrupo, ten en cuenta que tendrás que ser flexible con las situaciones inesperadas y posibles retrasos debido a las especiales condiciones del país. Como imagino que sabrás, este tipo de aventura en moto conlleva un cierto riesgo que al venir al viaje suponemos eres consciente de ello y aceptas tener buena disposición y una buena dosis de humor son esenciales para disfrutar al máximo de este viaje que seguramente no olvidarás en la vida.
